Ram Kumari Ayodhya Law College Begusarai, took its birth in year 1979, to commemorate late Babu Ayodhya Prasad Singh and his wife late Smt. Ram Kumari Devi The college was granted temporary affiliation by the state govt. In year 1981 for three academic years i.e. from 1980-81 to 82-83 and it was further extended in year1989-for five years with retrospective effect. The period of affiliation was again extended for five academic sessions up to year 1992-93 The state govt. was pleased to grant permanent, affiliation year 1995 and the college at prosed is only law college under L.N. Mithila University having permanent affiliation and the affiliation has been approved by Bar Council of India.
The college has been imparting legal education up to LLB Standard and prepares its students to stand on their own legs. The college started functioning in year 1979 in the building of local Ayodhya High School(Gyan Bharti) Begusarai and within 05 years it was sifted in its own building located in the heart of Begusarai town at a stone throw distance from Dist. Civil court campus, Begusarai.
The Begusarai District Has become Industrial complex area due to establishment of Oil Refinery, Thermal power station, FCI and other business undertakings and law teaching has proved a boon to graduates of this District who have to adopt their carrier as Advocates, law officers, judicial magistrates and Judges Nearly two thousand lawyers are practicing at Begusarai and outside of Begusarai as Advocates and the product of this college has adorned the chair of judgeship and magistracy and most of its products are leading their life as lawyers and law officers engaged in several industrial establishment.
Really this college has served the society for last 30 years and has provided golden opportunity to the unemployed graduates who have succeeded to stand on their legs and to serve the society. The college has its own three storied building which has been constructed over its own land Though college building is well accommodated yet effort is being made to add more space by further construction as per approved map to provide full accommodation to increasing number of students.
